L’association de Blancpain et de Lamborghini donne naissance à un championnat automobile d’exception. Décliné en six rendez-vous sur l’année, le Super Trofeo voit s’affronter 30 Lamborghini Gallardo. Pour célébrer ces courses de tous les superlatifs, la Manufacture du Brassus présente un chronographe fl yback Super Trofeo. Une montre résolument sportive, limitée à 300 pièces.
La rencontre de deux mythes est nécessairement porteuse d’événements exceptionnels. L’alliance de la plus ancienne marque horlogère du monde avec l’un des constructeurs automobiles les plus emblématiques donne ainsi naissance à un championnat automobile hors du commun. Le Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo est non seulement le premier championnat automobile Lamborghini, il devient également – dès le départ de la première course en mai à Silverstone – le championnat mono marque le plus rapide et le plus exigeant au monde. Trente rutilantes Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 – dernière évolution de ce modèle de légende – s’affrontent sur six circuits mythiques au cours de la saison 2009. Chacun de ces 30 bolides porte les couleurs de la manufacture horlogère, tandis que la voiture pilotée par Marc A. Hayek, Président et CEO
de Blancpain, est entièrement dédiée à la marque.
Pour Marc A. Hayek et Stephan Winkelmann, respectivement aux commandes de Blancpain et de Lamborghini, cette alliance dans un championnat commun permet de concrétiser le rêve de nombreux passionnés de mécaniques d’exception. Naturellement, lorsque Lamborghini décide d’entrer en course pour repousser les limites de la vitesse, c’est avec Blancpain qu’elle choisit de s’allier. Une union assurément détonante avec une marque dont l’esprit pionnier et le savoirfaire mécanique ne sont plus à démontrer.
Premier championnat mono marque de l’histoire de Lamborghini, le Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo 2009 compte six manches européennes qui se courent, de mai à octobre, à Silverstone (Royaume-Uni), Adria (Italie), Norisring (Allemagne), Spa Francorchamps (Belgique) ainsi que sur les circuits de Catalunya (Espagne) et Paul Ricard (France). Trente Lamborghini Gallardo prennent part à chacune des épreuves.
Technique de pointe
Hors norme : 570 chevaux et 540 N/m de couple pour des pointes de vitesse à plus de 300 km/h, la dernière-née des Gallardo – version course – signée Lamborghini est un bolide d’exception. Son caractère fougueux et ses lignes tendues et racées ont inspiré les designers et maîtres-horlogers de Blancpain pour concevoir le dernier joyau de la Manufacture du Brassus, le Chronographe Super Trofeo doté de la fonction fl yback. A l’image de la vrombissante Gallardo, ce nouveau chronographe Blancpain affi che un caractère pointu et tous les attributs de la technologie de pointe.
A commencer par son boîtier, dessiné expressément pour cette lignée de prestige et dont le profil s’inspire de l’avant de la Lamborghini Gallardo. Réalisé en acier avec traitement DLC – plus noir que le ruthénium et plus résistant que le PVD – le boîtier de 43,5 mm de diamètre, étanche à 100 mètres, alterne les surfaces satinées et polies. Recherché pour sa dureté et son caractère antiallergique, en plus de sa couleur profonde, le traitement DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) associe les propriétés du carbone diamantin (dureté, isolation, résistance chimique) à celles du graphite (couleur noire, élasticité). Très technique et faisant appel aux plus récents développements, le DLC est un traitement obtenu en couches minces (parfois moins de 2 μm) par un procédé de «dépôt sous vide». En outre, le DLC présente un coeffi cient de frottement très bas et une inertie chimique remarquable, deux éléments qui lui offrent une excellente résistance à l’usure, à la corrosion, au frottement ainsi qu’une dureté flexible.
Noir c’est noir
Au coeur de ce nouveau boîtier racé dédié à la performance, le Chronographe Blancpain Super Trofeo abrite le Calibre F185. Pour renforcer son caractère dynamique, le mouvement mécanique de la Blancpain Super Trofeo a subi un traitement NAC. Procédé galvanique de dernière génération permettant de noircir les ponts et la platine du mouvement, le traitement NAC affiche des performances exceptionnelles. Chronographe mécanique à remontage automatique, le Calibre F185 dispose de 40 heures de réserve de marche et intègre 308 composants. Ce mouvement propose les fonctions heures, minutes, petite seconde et date à guichet à 6h, ainsi que les indications chronographe trotteuse centrale, compteurs 30 minutes à 3h et 12 heures �
9h. Spécifi cité supplémentaire pour les amateurs de mesures instantanées, le Calibre F185 se caractérise également par sa fonction «fl yback» (ou retour en vol). A nul autre pareil, le cadran noir se singularise par ses deux chiffres 9 et 12 rouges et blancs, stylisés à l’image des numéros arborés par les 30 bolides Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. Egalement exclusive à ce modèle d’exception, la masse oscillante en or est gravée d’un «Super Trofeo 2009».
Sportif par tempérament jusqu’au dernier composant, le Chronographe Blancpain Super Trofeo est proposé sur un bracelet en alcantara – à l’instar des sièges de la Lamborghini Gallardo – avec boucle déployante en acier. Proposé en une édition limitée à 300 exemplaires, avec gravure «Série limitée x/300» sur le fond de la boîte – le Chronographe Blancpain Super Trofeo est livré dans un écrin également inspiré des lignes tendues de la rugissante Gallardo.

Cutting-edge technology
Boasting exceptional performances fuelled by 570 HP and 540 N/m torque enabling it to reach top speeds of over 300 km/h, the latest racing version of the Gallardo line from Lamborghini is a truly exceptional car. Its mettlesome character and its taut, sophisticated lines have inspired the Blancpain designers and master-watchmakers in creating the latest gem from the Manufacture in Le Brassus: the Super Trofeo Chronograph endowed with a fl yback function. Like the powerful engine of the Gallardo, this new Blancpain chronograph displays state-of-the-art design and all the attributes of cutting-edge technology.
The case specifi cally designed for this prestigious line is inspired by the sleek profi le of the Lamborghini Gallardo. Crafted in steel coated with a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) treatment – blacker than ruthenium and more resistant than PVD – the 43.5 mm-diameter case that is waterresistant to 100 metres features alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Highly sought after for its hardness and its anti-allergenic nature, as well as its intense colour, DLC treatment combines the properties of diamantine carbon (hardness, insulation, chemical resistance) with those of graphite (black colour, elasticity). Based on state-of-the-art technologies, DLC is a treatment applied in thin layers (sometimes less than 2 μm) by a “vacuum deposit” process.
Moreover, DLC boasts an extremely low friction coeffi cient and remarkable chemical inertia, two qualities that ensure excellent resistance to wear, corrosion and friction, as well as a flexible kind of hardness.
Black is black
At this heart of this new sophisticated and performance-oriented case, the Blancpain Super Trofeo Chronograph, lies its throbbing “engine”, Calibre F185. To reinforce its dynamic nature, the movement of the Blancpain Super Trofeo has been coated by NAC – a state-of-the-art electroplating treatment that blackens the movement bridges and main plate. The mechanical self-winding Calibre F185 is endowed with a 40-hour power reserve and comprises 308 parts.
This movement powers a range of functions including hour, minute, small seconds and date display at 6 o’clock, as well as the chronograph indications with a central sweep seconds hand, 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock. For instant-measurement enthusiasts, the Calibre F185 also drives a “fl yback” function. The unmistakable black dial is distinguished by two red and white 9 and 12 o’clock numerals stylised to evoke the numbers painted on the 30 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 racing cars. Another exclusive feature of this exceptional model is its gold oscillating weight engraved with the inscription “Super Trofeo 2009”.
A sports model through and through, the Blancpain Super Trofeo Chronograph is teamed with a strap in alcantara – like the seats in the Lamborghini Gallardo – secured by a steel folding clasp.
Available in a limited edition of 300 with its individual number engraved on the case-back – the Blancpain Super Trofeo Chronograph comes in a presentation box inspired by the taut, opulent lines of the ultra-dynamic Gallardo.
