En levant le voile sur ce second mouvement maison, CORUM entre dans une ère nouvelle. Le calibre linéaire CO 007 s’inspire de l’emblématique calibre Golden Bridge… pour mieux s’en éloigner. Si la forme est en effet reconnaissable, les dimensions, les composants et les caractéristiques techniques sont différents et témoignent de son esprit résolument contemporain. Premier modèle abritant cette innovation mécanique, la Ti-Bridge annonce l’avènement d’une nouvelle ligne dans les collections CORUM. Sobriété, modernité et élégance se répondent avec justesse pour créer un équilibre parfait entre design et technicité.
Création horlogère hors norme, la Ti-Bridge s’inscrit parfaitement dans la lignée des collections de CORUM, marque qui depuis sa fondation n’a cessé de traduire en garde-temps l’esprit du moment. Elle révèle son style par des lignes tendues et un caractère résolument dynamique. Répondant aux standards de qualité inhérents à la haute horlogerie, ce modèle sublime la tradition horlogère en mariant des codes propres au design à l’architecture avec des matériaux contemporains. Une âme de titane
Tant pour son mouvement que pour son boîtier, la Ti-Bridge fait la part belle au titane, matériau réputé pour sa légèreté mais aussi pour les difficultés qu’il pose en termes d’usinage. Les ponts et platines du calibre CO 007 sont taillés dans ce matériau ultra moderne. A l’instar du pont supérieur gravé du nom « CORUM », les composants du mouvement font l’objet de finitions soignées.
Les ponts sont satinés tandis que l’imposant barillet présente une finition brossée colimaçonnée. Battant à une fréquence de 4 Hz, le calibre CO 007 dispose d’une confortable réserve de marche de 72 heures.
Intimement lié au calibre puisqu’il est lui aussi taillé dans du titane grade 5 – le seul permettant des finitions polies – le boîtier galbé de forme tonneau affiche des dimensions de 42,5mm sur 41,5mm. Arborant une large glace saphir bombée sur la partie supérieure, il présente un fond satiné rehaussé en son centre d’une glace saphir rectangulaire ouverte sur le mouvement. Traitée PVD noir, cette glace tamise la vision tout en laissant deviner l’entrelacs des rouages. Présentant une confortable cambrure et étanche à 50 mètres, le boîtier alterne des parties polies sur le dessus et satinées sur les côtés.
Le mouvement est notamment maintenu à l’intérieur du boîtier par deux jeux de croisillons en titane, du plus bel effet visuel. Vissés sur le rehaut lui-même intégré au boîtier, ils participent à la consolidation de l’ensemble et contribuent à l’esthétisme du modèle. Imprégnées de Superluminova, les aiguilles squelettes garantissent une bonne lisibilité nocturne.
Le modèle Ti-Bridge se porte sur un bracelet en crocodile doté d’une triple boucle déployante au capot lui aussi en titane. Modèle précieux et exclusif, cette pièce d’exception ne sera produite qu’à quelque 750 exemplaires en 2009.

In unveiling its second in-house caliber, CORUM is entering a whole new era. The CO 007 movement is clearly inspired by the legendary Golden Bridge caliber, while giving a whole new twist to the original concept. Whereas the shape is immediately recognizable, the dimensions, the components and the technical characteristics are all completely different and testify to the resolutely contemporary spirit of the CO 007. As the first model to house this new caliber, the Ti-Bridge heralds the advent of a new line of CORUM collections. A titanium soul
In both its movement and case, the Ti-Bridge gives pride of place to titanium, a material known for its lightness and the difficulties involved in machining it. The bridges and plates of the Caliber CO 007 are cut from this ultra-modern material. The meticulous finishing on all movements is typified by the upper bridge engraved with the “CORUM” brand name. The bridges are satin-finished, while the generously sized barrel features a snailed finish. Equipped with a balance oscillating at the speed of 4 Hz, Caliber CO 007 is endowed with a 72-hour power reserve.
Intimately linked to the movement in that it is also made from grade 5 titanium – the only kind that can be polish-finished – the curved tonneau-shaped case measures 42.5 mm by 41.5 mm. Topped on the upper part by a large convex sapphire crystal, the case has a satin-finished case-back enhanced by a central rectangular sapphire window revealing the movement. This black PVD-coated crystal subtly filters the view of the movement, offering tantalizing glimpses of the interlacing pattern of its inner workings. Comfortably cambered and water-resistant to 50 meters, the case is graced with alternating surface finishes – polished on top and satin-finished on the side.
The movement is secured inside the case by a set of two titanium “cross bars”. Screwed to the flange, which is itself integrated within the case, they contribute to consolidating the whole construction and to enhancing the aesthetic quality of this model. The openworked Superluminova coated hands guarantee optimal nocturnal visibility.
The Ti-Bridge is teamed with a crocodile strap equipped with a titanium-capped triple folding clasp. A truly precious and exclusive model, the Ti-Bridge will be issued in a limited production run of 750 only in 2009.
